TitalcruiseOS 6: Current state of development of the sixth generation.

2 min read

Hello everyone! As you know, TitalcruiseOS 6 will be the next generation of the Titalcruise operating system, so we are currently working on its development and preparation.

We have already prepared the repositories, new packages, and other components that will be part of this version. Currently, the system is still under development and in the testing phase, so several tasks remain to be completed before we can move towards a first public release.

State of development

Currently, we are working on preparing the system components and the changes that will be incorporated into this new generation.

We can't yet confirm all the new features of TitalcruiseOS 6.0, as some decisions are still pending and could change during development. As we have more concrete information, we will share updates and progress on the project.

What will happen with the fifth generation of TitalcruiseOS? (TitalcruiseOS 5)

The fifth generation will continue to be supported while we work on TitalcruiseOS 6.

Specifically, TitalcruiseOS 5.4.1 will continue to receive new builds for an indefinite period. We will continue working on this branch as long as necessary, although there will eventually come a time when it will no longer receive new builds.

At this time, we do not have a definite date for the end of the TitalcruiseOS 5.4.1 builds. When this decision is confirmed, we will communicate the corresponding information.

Meanwhile, the fifth generation and the upcoming version 6.0 will continue to be separate branches, each with its own development.

Repositories and packages

Preparing the repositories and packages is an important part of our current work. We will continue to organize and prepare the necessary components for the sixth generation as the project progresses.

Some details regarding new features, compatibility, and potential upgrades from previous versions are still being finalized. We will share more information once these aspects are confirmed.

State of ChimoCruiseOS

In addition to TitalcruiseOS 6.0, development also continues on ChimoCruiseOS, a Linux distribution that emerged from the collaboration between Titalcruise EA and Chimo Inc.

The project aims to combine components and features of TitalcruiseOS and Chimo Linux to develop an independent distribution. Currently, its first edition is presented as ChimoCruiseOS v1.0 Colors , based on TitalcruiseOS 5.4.1 and Chimo Linux, with an x64 architecture.

This version is listed as active and in testing, so it is still in an early stage. Its development and evaluation will continue as the project progresses.

At this time, we haven't announced all the details about future versions or a definitive release schedule. We'll share more information when there are confirmed updates.

You can find the information available on the official ChimoCruiseOS website and in its downloads section .

Release date

At the moment, we do not have an estimated date for the initial release of TitalcruiseOS 6.0.

Development is ongoing and we prefer not to set a date until we have a clearer idea of the work remaining and the overall state of the system.

We will publish new updates when there are significant developments or when we can share specific information about the project.

Thanks to everyone who closely follows the development of TitalcruiseOS and accompanies us in each version.

Titalcruise E.A.
